The Cambridge model boat club is very happy to announce a new division of the club has been recently formed, focusing on sail boat racing.

A group of very enthusiastic members are holding race sessions and training on Saturday mornings at Paxton sailing club. The two classes on the race calendar are the IOM class and the DF95 class which are raced on alternate weeks throughout the year.

The racing team welcomes all ages and skill levels and encourages those with an interest to come and have a go. The emphasis being fun and friendly racing.

To involve more members they even offer the chance to borrow one of these classic yachts. The Saturday morning sessions are evolving and are fast gathering a strong fleet base. The club is also officially registered with the MYA, (Model Yachting Association) and makes up part of the Eastern district region.
