Cambridge Model Boat Club had our first open day, on the same day as Paxfest. We were lucky to get a full page in Model Boats to advertise it, and I think were we featured locally as well. The Gazebo was set up at the Paxfest site.  We hoped to make more local residents aware of the club and its activities.  We set up in the morning, not quite knowing what to expect. Soon we had visitors interested in our boats, children wanting to have a go, and people bringing their own boats for us to help them sail them.
